Ahoy, cuteness overload! My client's request - "Make this room fun for our grandsons to want to spend weekends here". This once run-down room was completely gutted and transformed into a pint-size beach house bunkroom made just for sleepovers at Grandma and Grandpa’s—where big memories happen in a small space.

The star of the room is a customized IKEA bunk bed, proof that low-cost can still look high style. We dressed it up with bold red paneling and kept it low to the ground, a smart move that works perfectly with the room’s cozy ceiling height and charming exposed beams. Nautical details—like the glowing anchor wall light, life ring accents, and classic red-white-and-blue bedding—bring in playful seaside vibes without going overboard.

Every inch was thoughtfully planned so there’s just enough room to sleep, play, and dream, making it ideal for weekend visits and giggly bedtime stories. It’s fun, functional, and full of personality—exactly the kind of space grandsons will beg to come back to.
