This guest bedroom got a total refresh—and it proves that cozy can still be bright. We kept my client’s existing bed as the anchor and layered in all-new elements to turn this space into a warm, welcoming retreat guests won’t want to leave.

The deep, chocolate-toned walls wrap the room in comfort, while soft, neutral bedding keeps things light and inviting. Behind the bed, a dreamy mural-style wallpaper adds instant wow, creating the feeling of drifting off beneath a quiet forest canopy. Natural light pours in during the day, and after sunset the space glows thanks to statement overhead lighting and perfectly placed table lamps.

Artwork pops beautifully against the darker walls, and thoughtful details—like the bench at the foot of the bed for luggage or extra seating—make the room as practical as it is stylish. Layered textures of rattan, jute, linen, and metal bring depth and a relaxed, collected feel.
